A collection of video game and 8-bit style retro sounds, perfect for adding a touch of 8-bit style to your music productions, the pack contains 53 samples (.WAV format) in a variety of styles and is 9.14 Mb in size. Format : WAV

The second in the series of games and 8-bit samples, in this pack you will find a range of retro style blips, zips, effects and leads which are similar to the classic chiptune style used in retro video game music but they are not sampled from any hardware and are all original and royalty free to use in your music productions. The MOS 6581 (SID) sound chip of the classic Commodore 64 (C64) home computer produced 8-bit sounds for games and electronic music back in the early/mid 1980's. Disasterpeace Recordings has programmed 8-bit sounds using a MOS 6581 chip and converted them into 16-bit sounds ; making a Reason Refill with over 200+ drums (stereo and mono), 14 drum kits, and over 30 REX loops ranging from 85bpm to 168bpm. The library introduced here is the collection of sound loops from early, beloved video games. Despite the simple kitschiness, the 8-bit sound (a rectangle wave, a triangular wave, and noise), has become a treasured piece of pop culture, and is making a comeback in today's music. A collection of 8-bit and glitchy audio samples constructed throughout 2011. Henry Homesweet had always loved the raw and groovy waveforms that retro consoles generate. The tones, textures and unique warmth of these systems are the main reason that they have continued to be a staple sound source in his production. The samples here are entirely original and have been extracted from most of my music released last year or designed exclusively for this release. There are over 250 individual sounds and loops in this sample pack including a folder of SFX designed for an independant arcade game that was never released. A collection of 100 unique raw glitch sounds. Importing progam files, system data and other artifacts as raw data into an audio editor can result in some harsh noises but amongst the noise you can find some very interesting sounds hidden away. These sounds were selected from hundreds of minutes of noise during a couple of months of experimentation, I have been using these sounds for a while now and I thought someone else could have some fun with them!
