What is tracking ?

Tracking, also known under the terms audio tracking, digital tracking, soundtracking or soundtrack (not to be confused with music for movies) is a way of composing music on computer and console for video games then demos, born in the 1980s. These musicians use trackers (or soundtrackers), freewares in general and often open-source.
